The initial visit is typically 1.5 hours and includes a thorough medical history with focus on patient’s main concerns. An initial individualized treatment plan will be discussed.
If any recent lab and/or imaging test results are available, can be brought to this visit. It is recommended to bring a list of all the medicines and supplements currently taking.
If the reason for coming in is of acute nature and requires immediate attention and treatment, there will be a shortened intake, leaving more time for an initial treatment (i.e., for acute musculoskeletal conditions).
The initial visit includes an evaluation from both the naturopathic and Traditional Chinese Medicine perspectives, unless only acupuncture visits are requested.
Return visits are recommended as necessary. Depending on each patient’s situation and preference, they include only naturopathic treatments or follow up (up to half an hour), only acupuncture treatments (one hour) or a combination of both (one hour).

Payments
Naturopathic medicine and acupuncture (see Fidelity Investments employees exception)
are not covered by insurance companies in Massachusetts. However, some insurance
companies have an acupuncture or naturopathy affinity program. This allows their
members to get discounted acupuncture and/or naturopathic visits through qualified
providers affiliated with them. Dr. Mihoc is affiliated with several insurance companies
(see Discounts above) to provide discounted acupuncture and/or naturopathic visits.
Naturopathic evaluation and treatments are provided separately and at an additional fee
for the discounted acupuncture visits.
Payments can be made by cash, check and credit or debit cards with Mastercard or
Visa logo. We do not accept Discover and American Express cards. Visit fees can be
covered with funds from Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts
(FSA).
